Trendy Specialty Printing Techniques

We offer a wide array of choices on how we can print your wedding correspondence suite to create that genuinely stunning finish that's perfect for you.

We have actual samples of our prints in our shop so you can stop by and have a look at them personally and see which one you like best.

To give you a glimpse, here are some of the printing techniques that we offer and their features, as well as some of our stocks, inks, and other options:

Digital CMYK
  • Full-color printing on card stocks, paper, and envelopes without the time and cost involved in setting up plates or rolls on a printing press, while using the same Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black (CMYK) color formulations
  • Well-suited for watercolor, hand-painted, photos and beautiful typography
Digital White
  • White toner is fused to the surface of card stocks, papers, and envelopes with heat just like digital printing with CMYK toners
  • Makes white text and graphics pop on dark stocks for smaller quantities and has a quicker turnaround than a press
  • A cost-effective alternative to foil stamping with white matte foil, though slightly less opaque
Digital Gold/Silver
  • Fuses gold or silver toner to the surface of card stocks, papers, or envelopes with heat just like digital printing with CMYK toners
  • Permits gold or silver text and graphics for smaller quantities and has a quicker turnaround than a press
  • Matte stocks recommended for best results with this metallic contrast

Thermography
  • Uses heat to raise the ink that results in an elegant and tactile effect
  • Affordable way to achieve the look of texture without the added costs that come with plate-making
Screen Printing
  • Utilizes a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil to receive a desired image
  • Commences print with one color at a time; several screens can be used to produce a multicolored design
  • Excellent choice for retaining vibrant colors of light inks when printing on dark stocks because the inks used are opaque
Letterpress
  • For relief printing using a printing press
  • Creates an elegant and tactile effect
  • Ideal for heavy-weight stocks to maximize the look of relief printing
  • Beautiful choice for highlighting fine details
  • Similar to screen printing, where each color requires a separate pass and in this case, with a unique die

Blind Embossing
  • Alters the surface of paper stock by providing a raised effect on selected areas
  • Requires the use of two dies one raised and one recessed
  • Results in a permanently raised area in the paper
Blind Debossing
  • Similar to embossing but recesses the design rather than raising it
  • Not as common as embossing but occasionally used to provide a different effect or appearance that fits a particular theme
Foil Stamp
  • Applies a thin film of metal to thick stock to create an elegant and eye-catching effect
  • Always in style
  • Selection of foils available to complement any design, including holographic, gloss, matte, and metallic
  • Special order for custom foil colors also available
